Metadata Workshops

A series of metadata workshops were conducted during the 2003 to 2004 academic year, starting from 17th November 2003.

The workshop activities entailed:

• metadata and standards;
• the benefits of metadata;
• the Go-Geo! portal;
• the FE/HE Metadata Application Profile and guidelines;
• metadata tool.

Workshops were offered as short (one hour seminar) or long sessions (two hours). The longer workshops also included a portal evaluation sessions.
